National Checking

As a company that produces quality paper and disposable products for restaurants, National Checking realizes the effect its manufacturing processes can have on the environment, so they take active steps to mitigate their impact. Their Green Fuel Waste Reduction program turns waste into pellets that can be used as a heating source. This has allowed National Checking to decrease the amount of waste entering landfills by 220,000 tons annually.

Additionally, 99.9% of all inbound paper is either sent out as finished product or it is recycled a pre-consumer waste. National Checking uses paper that is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and the Forest Stewardship Council which ensures that the paper is sustainably sourced. The company has also partnered with its suppliers and has transitioned all thermal paper to be 100% BPA free. Register Roll cores are made with 100% recycled plastic and pallets are constructed with 81% recycled material that can later be reused or recycled.

Green Drain

The Green Drain ™ is an environmentally-friendly, water-free, trap seal made from a flexible silicone membrane to allow for the outbound flow of water and debris while blocking gases, odors, and pests from entering the building. It can be installed in most floor drains without the use of tools and reduces exposure to hazardous sewer gases and waterborne pathogens that are commonly found in drain lines and plumbing systems. Best of all, Green Drain products can reduce the need for the use of chemical products in drain lines, saving money and protecting oceans, rivers and other downstream receivers of chemicals in sewage.

Access Partners Zero Waste Initiative

Access Partners aims to lead by example. That’s why we believe it’s imperative to ensure that we’re good environmental stewards whenever possible in our day-to-day activities. All of our offices participate in our zero-waste initiative, and we hope that our partners will do the same.

This initiative starts with our sales team. We implement ongoing training on eco-friendly products, regional recycling, and composting resources. This way, they’re well versed in the latest practices and regulations– an increasingly important asset in today’s world.  Our sales team also has the opportunity to drive company supported electric vehicles for their everyday sales duties. Access Partners also does its part to manage sample product waste. Excess samples are donated or recycled.

The next step in this initiative is our internal practices. The Access Partners headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga reduces energy consumption with state-of-the-art energy efficient HVAC systems and LED lighting. In addition, all our offices recycle cardboard, paper, bottles and cans. Furthermore, we reduce the use of paper whenever we can by prioritizing electronic documents.

Being environmentally conscious starts with businesses. It is our responsibility to influence change not only in our employees but in the industry as a whole.
